A Dog for Emily

We are so excited for our ballet January 13th! All students ages 5 & up who take ballet classes are performing in our show! We encourage our young dancers to come and watch as you will be performing on this stage June 23rd. Tickets are available online at www.tututix.com/PattyFlowerdayDance. There is a link to the ASPCA for Florida, Houston and Puerto Rico if you would like to donate! Please encourage family and friends to come to see our show! The teachers and dancers have been working very hard!

Our Act I scenery is a pet shop and we are taking donations for: XL puppy pads, Puppy Food (Fromm, ProPac, 4Health) tough puppy toys, Natural Dog Chews (Himalayan chews, bully sticks, etc.) heavy food and water dishes, small dog beds, harnesses, collars, leashes, crates, dog sweaters, blankets, cat litter, cat toys. All these items will be donated to Woof2Hoof Rescue at the end of our show.

We will be collecting spare change in each class to donate to Joyful Rescues for a dog transport from a high kill shelter. Joyful rescues goes down south when they have donations to rescue dogs from high kill shelters. It would be great if we could sponsor a run and save some pups!

Costumes have arrived!

If your costume is paid for, you may take it home. Tights will be given out the first week in January along with make up and costume sheets! Please do not allow your child to play in these costumes as they also need them for the June recital! Please hang them outside of the bag so that the wrinkles can fall out!

Business Advertisements

If you have a business and would like to advertise in our program please see Miss Patty before the break! There are fliers on the desk!

Programs

Please check the programs for your dancer’s spelling! They are at the desk!

Parent Volunteers

Our students will be sitting in the audience with their classes and we are looking for parent volunteers to help! It could be a 3&4 year old dancer’s parent that could sit in the audience with the class. Everyone takes a bow at the end so you would take the dancers backstage for that a few numbers before the end! of the show!

Scenery

We are looking for a small dresser for Emily’s bedroom scene. If you have one we can borrow please let Miss Patty know!

Rehearsal

We will be rehearsing Act I Saturday January 13th from 1:00-2:30 and Act II from 2:30-4:00. The younger dancers will be given a specific time and will only have to be there for a half an hour for rehearsal. The show is under 2 1/2 hours including intermission.

Jackets

Last call for jackets and fleece! They will not be in for Christmas because we need a certain amount ignorer to get these prices. Please stop at the desk if you are interested in ordering a studio jacket!

Holiday Break

The studio will be closed Saturday December 23rd and reopen Tuesday January 2nd. We will be open Saturday December 30th!

Closing Due to Weather

If Penfield Schools close we close too! That way there is no confusion! Classes can be made up at your convenience for weather closings or illness.

Chilly Dancers

Please pack a sweater for your little dancers. They cannot wear their jackets in class but they can wear a sweater if they are cold.

Boot Trays

Parents and dancers are asked to please remove wet shoes and boots and put them in a boot tray, not in the cubbies! We want to keep our rug dry so that our dancers shoes remain dry. Wet shoes can mean a slip and fall for a dancer. Thank you for your cooperation!

Whatever Holiday you Celebrate

Our staff wishes you a wonderful time with your family! We look forward to a wonderful 2018!

Remember, adopt don’t shop!
